Why is the BBC Unique
The BBC were the first public service broadcaster, meaning anyone from any culture could watch what they broadcasted at any moment. This includes children, teenagers, adults and the elderly. This was revolutionary, no other broadcaster offered this. The BBC also won the intellectual war, stated by the German propaganda minister Joseph Goebbells, he said that because BBC Radio only broadcasted the truth, which was very different from the radio service provided by the Nazi German leaders. To this day the BBC are regarded as the most reliable source of information in Britain and even the world. To be able to view what BBC offers you have to pay for the television license, which is different from all the other television providers such as ITV. By paying the license you are entitled to watch anything that appears on the BBC channel, and it will be suitable for all ages. Also, because the BBC have a license fee, there are no irritating adverts that interrupt your favorite television channel.
